Can I shoot a Swhacker out of a crossbow?

Thank you for your interest in Swhacker broadheads!

You can basically shoot any Swhacker broadhead out of any crossbow. There’s rarely any clearance issues, or anything like that, but may slightly depend on the length of the bolts and how they sit on the particular crossbow.

Depending on the speed of the bow, we have different band options available. If the bow is shooting under 420fps, then you can use our original bands, which are yellow on 100gr models and white on 125 and 150gr models. If the bow is shooting over 420fps, you will need to utilize our High Speed Crossbow Bands.

The yellow and white bands are not strong enough alone if the bow is shooting over 420fps. Worst case scenario, you can double these bands up and they will also withstand the higher speed bows. Just stack the two bands on top of each other and it works in a pinch, but we would still recommend the high speed bands if you’re able to get those.

If you choose a broadhead model with the blade lock feature, the “Hunt-Ready-Plugs” also hold up to any speed.
