Establishing arrow length for the LRP system

Thank you for your interest in the LRP arrows! We can guarantee you’re going to love them! We understand this part can be confusing because there’s a number of different ways you can measure arrow length.

Here’s some points to consider when choosing the cut-length of LRP arrows on our website:

Our Terminal Collar covers exactly 1” over the end of the carbon and you’ll need to account for that. You can’t have that collar come up onto your arrow rest when you get to full draw.

We measure and cut our arrows based on the length from the bottom of the nock groove, to the end of the carbon shaft. That way if someone has a bow set at 28” draw length and they order 28” arrow length, there’s no way the arrows will be too short because the end of the carbon will be at the front of their riser, leaving plenty of room between the Terminal Collar and your arrow rest. This also helps to account for different length nocks and different length bushings that are on people’s original arrows. Carbon to carbon on an arrow that takes a unibushing is not going to end up with the same length as an arrow that does not use a unibushing, so that’s why we measure from the bottom of the nock groove, to the end of the shaft.

I find the absolute best way to measure for the perfect length is to draw your current arrows back on your bow. Have someone else safely put a mark on your arrow at the spot they intersect with your arrow rest. If you measure from that mark, to the bottom of your nock groove, you need to add NO less than 1.25” and that’s the shortest cut length for LRP arrows on your setup. That will give you around ¼” of clearance between the Terminal Collar and your rest. It never really hurts to leave some overhang either to be sure they’re not too short, if you want to add 1.5” to be safe.
