TAC Vanes Glue “White Stuff”

Thank you for choosing TAC Vanes! We definitely have a fix for that.

While we were researching our glue and gaining a good knowledge base of cyanoacrylate glues in general, we questioned this with our vendor.

Here’s what we’ve learned about that white stuff:

They call it blooming. Blooming is a result of the fumes from any excess glue that continually “gas off” until the glue dries. It’s helpful to wipe as much excess off with a q-tip because there will be less glue, resulting in less fumes. When the humidity is higher, that blooming becomes more present. The best and easiest fix is to fletch your arrows in an area where the air will be continually moving. If you run a fan nearby as you fletch, it will circulate enough air to eliminate that reaction from happening directly to your arrows, or vanes. You don’t necessarily need to blow the fan on the arrows, but you can simply move the air near your curing arrows to help with this.
